New Year’s Resolutions 2019

Hello again people of the interweb! It’s been awhile since my last post (an unfinished 25 Days of Christmas series), but I know I wasn’t the only one who got busy during those last couple of days, so I wasn’t too worried about it. I almost had it too, but there’s always next year! 😌 For now let’s talk about New Year’s Resolutions. I actually haven’t made New Year’s resolutions for many years now because I’ve been content and happy with the person I was growing into, but over the last couple of years I’ve begin to let that person slip away. I have had plenty of time to turn my focus within though, and that’s helped me see that there are a lot of necessary changes I need to make in order to get back to where I want to be. I made a list of 20 things I would like to work on throughout the year, and while it is pretty extensive — it’s also very doable. These are my resolutions:

  1. Create more art.

  2. Stop being fearful and step out of my comfort zone more often.

  3. Care less about others’ supposed judgements of me.

  4. Be more confident in my looks.

  5. Practice more patience and self control with my husband Jimmy.

  6. Be more active.

  7. Read more.

  8. Be more organized.

  9. Travel more often.

  10. Stay positive in manifesting my dreams and goals.

  11. Walk the dogs daily (even when feeling down).

  12. Meal prep more often.

  13. Have more sex, make more love.

  14. Take more bubble baths.

  15. Stay diligent in my skincare routine and STOP SLEEPING IN MY MAKEUP.

  16. Use my planners more.

  17. Get on a schedule.

  18. More self care rituals on the regular.

  19. Get at least 4 paid writing gigs this year.

  20. Call loved ones and visit home more often.

Did you make any resolutions this year? If you did or you didn’t, either way, I wish you the best year to come, and I hope you attain any and all goals you set for yourself.
